These rules are here to make sure that everyone has an enjoyable experience at Unfurl Studios.

We believe in respect. Respect yourself, respect your fellow classmates, respect your teacher, and respect the space.

General rules

By attending any class or workshop, or entering our studio, you agree to abide by the following rules which may be amended or updated from time to time:

• By attending any class or workshop, you agree to the Disclaimer (which may be amended from time to time).

• Please turn up to class 5 minutes before it starts. This means that you will have enough time to take your shoes off, speak with the teacher, and get settled on your mat. Our front door is locked during classes, and so latecomers will not be admitted, and it will count as a no-show.

• Please do book your class in advance - booking opens 7 days before a class. This ensures there will be a mat available for you.

• We endeavour to keep the studios a sanctuary, so please do remove your shoes before entering the studio space. For reasons of safety, please either attend a class or workshop barefoot or with socks that have grips.

• We also kindly ask that you turn your mobile phones on silent, however we understand that there may be reasons why you cannot do so - please do speak with the instructor is this is the case.

• We lock the front door during classes. This ensures a peaceful, safe environment during the class.

• Any valuables left in the studio, including during a class, are left at your own risk. We take no liability for your belongings. Any lost property may be destroyed if it remains uncollected after 7 days.

• We supply mats and equipment, but please do bring your own if you would prefer. If you use the Unfurl equipment, we ask that students clean it down after use. Bolsters cannot be used without being covered by a towel.

• No non-service pets are allowed on site. Please speak to us if you have a service animal.

• Please do stay at home if you are not feeling well. Not only will you not get the full enjoyment of the class, but we don’t want to spread bugs around the studio.

• We have a toilet and a changing room, along with some simple freshen-up products. We don’t have a shower.

• We take your safety seriously, please do not engage in handstands or headstands.

• Pregnancy and postnatal. We have pre and postnatal classes available, but if you are pregnant or postnatal our regulat classes may not be suitable for you. If attending a class that is not labelled as being suitable for pregnancy or postnatal, our instructors may not be pregnancy or postnatal trained and will not be able to give you adaptations. You take the class at your own risk with full understanding of what your body requires. Our breathwork, warm and hot classes are generally considered not safe for pregnancy or postnatal. Always speak with a doctor before exercising.

• Please have the notifications enabled on our app, so that you receive any necessary communication.

• Our resistance bands are latex. If you are allergic to latex, please use the fabric resistance bands provided.

• You must not engage in any class or workshop if under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol.

• Our timetable is liable to change, including last minute changes and cancellations.

Membership rules

• Memberships and credits cannot be shared, and are non-transferrable.

• Unlimited monthly rolling membership - you are entitled to book as many classes as you wish (subject to availability). If you wish to cancel, please provide us with at least 10 days’ notice at hello@unfurlstudios.co.uk before the end of your current monthly period. You cannot cancel during any monthly cycle, and no pro-rata refunds will be available.

• Unlimited annual membership - you are entitled to book as many classes as you wish (subject to availability). This membership will not auto-renew.

Cancellation and wait-list

• Please do let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel, so that we can ensure the space is opened up for someone else.

• No-shows and cancellations made within 5 hours of the start of the class cannot be refunded, and for those of you on an unlimited membership you shall be charged a £10 no-show/late cancellation fee.

• If you are joining the class from a waitlist, and you got the class spot more than 2 hours before the class time, then please let us know of any cancellations at least 1 hour before the class time. If you do not cancel at least 1 hour before the class time, the class cannot be refunded, and for those of you on an unlimited membership you shall be charged a £10 no-show/cancellation fee.

• If you are joining the class from a waitlist, and you got the class spot less than 2 hours before the class time, then there will be no penalties for a no-show or late cancellation.

• Unfurl reserves the right to cancel or change any class at any time.

Passes

• Class passes must be used within the timeframe specified at purchase.

• Gift cards are valid for 90 days from purchase

• Unlimited monthly membership - this will automatically renew. To cancel any subscription, please do email at hello@unfurlstudios.co.uk with at least 10 days’ notice before the end of your current membership cycle.

• Unlimited annual membership - this will not automatically renew.

• Where any payment bounces, we will attempt to take the payment 3 times after which the membership will be cancelled

• If you are on a waitlist, you will be contacted is a space becomes available.

• Classes do not operate on bank holidays, and Unfurl reserves the right to close down the studio at any time for any reason.

Removal

• Unfurl, and our teachers, have the right to remove any student from a class at our absolute discretion if we feel that a student’s behaviour creates a threatening, unsafe, or unpleasant environment.

• If removed from a class, you will not be given a refund.

• It is at the discretion of Unfurl to ban a student completely, and in such scenarios no refund shall be given for any pre-paid classes, membership, or subscription.
